Movie Poster & Trailer: DOLLY’S HAND ON MINE

Giddyup everyone!

What goes into a movie poster? Quite a bit!

When we first begin toying with options, I wanted to give Maggie a full spectrum to choose from and what resulted was nearly 20+ options that ran the gamut from glam, graphic, stark, sequin-filled, simple, modern, and playful. What she gravitated toward is the final version you see here: a powerful pink palette with a pop of sunshine yellow (two colors that illicit joy and a bit of summer, yes?). I couldn’t help but see the parallel come through in considering this…

The back story: this cornbread mix was something I stumbled upon at the grocery store and when I pitched this script to Maggie, I wrapped this up in a bow and gave it to her. We found ways to sneak it into the film too! There is warmth present here, as well as Dolly’s joyous personality.

Also fun? The movie trailer has officially been released! Enjoy the nearly 1-minute teaser below:

Stay tuned for more exciting updates…in the mean time, enjoy the Chicago area’s Gilmore Girls’-esque Fall!
