The Post-Production Pink Haze

We’ve wrapped! Filming of DOLLY’S HAND ON MINE took place the first weekend in Winnetka at two private residences. Maggie and I are thrilled, exhausted, and properly delirious (we wouldn’t have it any other way).

Thank you for the mountain of love and well-wishes. There were so many pieces of this film that were deeply personal: my family + dog were both in a few scenes, Maggie sprinkled several artistic ‘Easter Eggs’ throughout, and a TON of our crew from our first film came back to work on this one (an experience that left me properly weepy…I get teary-eyed on set all the time; it is ethereal and overwhelming to see a world you created come alive).

SO what’s next?

Post-Production:
-Color correcting
-Sound
-Scoring
-Editing
-Cutting a trailer
-Final cut of the film
-Credits and Title Cards

I’ll be finishing a full-length feature over the summer in my screenwriting cohort and will be spending a good chunk of time creating the movie poster (I’ll give Maggie 20 different options and than just start chipping away at the details she likes). So the blissful, beautiful work continues. Can’t wait. Giddyup.
