Twitter: Still Good For Something

Something like solidarity. You see, this past week, the #WritingCommunity let a wave of levity loose at just the right time: erasure poems from writer rejections.

Otherwise known as ‘blackout poems,’ these original works take on new forms when most of the text is blacked out in order to keep a brief, punchy sentence.

I threw in my own erasure poem from a rejection received just yesterday. Yes, the world feels dark right now. For a brief moment, on Twitter of all places, we were silly and things were light.
