Dolly’s Hand on Mine concludes on 3/11

My dear friends, I’m overjoyed that our new short film DOLLY’S HAND ON MINE (story and script by me) has reached its full funding goals! WOOHOO!
So…what happens next? Well, we officially move into the next phase of pre-production which includes casting, scheduling, contracts, location scouting, and hiring of crew. It’s a delightfully exciting time when all of those juicy details come together and start to actually look like a movie.

And…what will we do with extra funds? Glad you asked! Extra funds will allow us to embody the empowering spirit of Dolly Parton and bring on two female production assistants. These young women will have a chance to shadow us, be on set, contribute creatively, and learn the ins and outs of indie film. Our hope is that it ushers in a new era of female filmmakers excited to put their mark on the movie world.
If you’d like to support us and the film, there is still time! Our Seed+Spark campaign closes tomorrow morning, March 11th. Any dollar contributed is a dollar thoughtfully woven into this magical production.
Thank you for your belief in art, in me, and in indie film. Giddyup!
